Visual OSD editor

Drag the voltage, LQ, timer and other elements onto your goggles screen, analogue or HD, and copy the commands for the Betaflight CLI.

Elements

Drag each element wherever you want it. With the keyboard: select it with Tab and move it with the arrow keys. The texts are just examples: in your goggles they’ll appear in the Betaflight font.

Tips for a good OSD

  • Less is more. Voltage, link quality, timer and warnings are the bare minimum. Everything you add covers up the image.
  • Edges for data. Keep the centre clear so you can see where you’re going; only the crosshair and warnings belong there.
  • Think about 4:3 and 16:9. If you record in 16:9 but your goggles show 4:3, elements at the edges may end up off-screen. Check it before you fly.
  • Make warnings easy to see. The “Warnings” element is what tells you the battery is low or there’s a failsafe: put it where you can read it without moving your eyes.

The OSD is configured from the CLI or from the OSD tab in the Betaflight App. If you use digital video, first set up the port as we explain in the Betaflight tutorial.
