3D Workshop: build an FPV drone part by part
Build a 5" freestyle quad in 3D, in the same order as on the workbench. Rotate it, pull the parts apart and tap each one to see what it does, what size it is and where to learn how to choose it.
- 12steps
- 12parts
- 225mm motor to motor

Your browser can’t display 3D graphics. Turn on hardware acceleration or try another browser. In the meantime, all the steps are illustrated in Build a drone.
Point the camera at a table or the floor and tap the screen to place the drone.
YOUR DRONE, LIVE
Move the drone by hand: the model follows it. Only the orientation and the radio are read; the motors can’t be started from here and arming is blocked while it’s connected.
You need Chrome or Edge on a computer to connect the drone.

How to make the most of it
The viewer, the step-by-step and the course work together
1 · Before buying
Understand what’s inside
Pull the parts apart with the exploded view and tap each one: you’ll see what it does, its usual size and the chapter that explains how to choose it.
2 · Soldering iron in hand
Follow the real order
Each step in the viewer matches a step in Build a drone, which has the photos, the values and the mistakes to avoid.
3 · To go further
Dig deeper in the course
The build course explains the why behind each step: multimeter, soldering, radio setup, Betaflight and Blackbox.
The model is a guide only: it’s drawn in your browser from typical 5" dimensions and doesn’t represent any particular brand. The manufacturer’s manual for each part always takes precedence.
