Checker

Start from a template and swap the parts for the ones you want to buy. As you type, it tells you what doesn’t fit (sizes, mounting holes, voltages, connectors, ports), how much it will weigh, how it will fly and how long the battery will last. Below you’ll find the wiring diagram and the commands to configure the ports.

The default values are typical, not from any specific product. Copy the data from each part’s spec sheet: mounting holes, voltages and currents. Thrust and flight time come from the same model as the thrust calculator (±20 %).

How to read the result

  • Problem (✕): it won’t work or something will get damaged. Change a part before buying.
  • Warning (!): it will work, but needs an extra part (an adapter, a BEC) or it’ll be tight.
  • Info (i): not an error; it’s a tip to get more out of your parts.

The diagram shows a typical build. Every flight controller has its pads in a different place: always follow the manufacturer’s diagram to find each UART. Because the receiver and the GPS talk over serial, the wire from their TX pin goes to the FC’s RX and vice versa.

Once it’s all clear, follow the step-by-step build guide and the Betaflight tutorial.
